The Dorchester Ballet & Dance Club
Dance is not only a wonderful way for all ages to keep fit and healthy, but other important benefits include improving posture, co-ordination, increasing confidence and making new friends.
The Dorchester Ballet and Dance Club holds classes for children and adults in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, street dance, historical dance, ballroom and dance mobility for seniors, working towards exams or just for fun! There are opportunities to perform in shows, local events and festivals.
The Club is a registered charity, established in 1958 (in fact one of our founder members still teaches several classes a week; a wonderful advert for the benefits of dance!) and is a not-for-profit organisation. Our aim and motto is ‘to bring dance to all regardless of age, wealth or ability’.
The first lesson is free and concessionary rates are available to those on limited incomes.
Classes are held 6 days a week in the bright and spacious dance studio at the Swan Centre, Unit 6b, Poundbury West Estate, Dorchester. DT1 2BG, where there is plenty of free parking.
